When contacted by a pulmonary specialist at Padang Panjang Hospital on Thursday (4/30) at 10:00 P.M, it was hard for her when she got information that her results of the swab examination were positive.

She remembered on April 23, 2020, she did contact with NS patients from Tanah Datar District who tested positive for COVID-19 and then she also have to take a swab examination.

It turned out that not only herself, the results of contact tracing of health workers with NS patients and health workers with colleagues at the hospital made 70 health workers and security officers have to take a swab.

"But I am happy when I know the result of swab examination from my colleagues are negative," she said.

When packing to undergo isolation at the Regional Hospital, her family encouraged her to stayed patient and confident that she would recover soon.

In the isolation period, Dr. Dessy and other colleagues complied with medication therapy according to the prescription given by the doctor and followed the diet according to the needs of the body and their respective symptoms.

"Alhamdulillah, The results of the second and third swab tests were from 10 health workers were negative, so we were declared recovered of COVID-19 on May 12, 2020," she said.

Her experience is expected to be a reminder to the community that in the current outbreak conditions should be able to refrain from doing activities outside if not important and urgent.

In addition, the community is expected to provide correct information when they want to seek treatment and when they just return from the exposed area, they should undergo independent isolation to prevent possible transmission of the virus.

She hopes that the central and regional governments should be in line in determining policies, especially the planned to loosen the large-scale social restrictions (PSBB), because it is feared that it will add cases so that the outbreak will never end.

"The more important thing, don't judge positive COVID-19 patients and their families because it adds pressure to them," she said.
