Pariaman (ANTARA) - Chairperson of the Pariaman City Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), W Sumatra, Fitri Nora appealed to the village government in the area to be creative in developing tourist villages so that the attractions built have their own uniqueness.
"Now, many villages in Pariaman are building tourist attractions using village funds and we appreciate that," she said in Pariaman, Friday.
But according to her there are still other things that must be considered in building attractions, one of which is unique that must be different from the others.
With attractions that are unique, tourists will be interested in visiting the village to see the attractions that are built.
In addition to its uniqueness, the village government must also build the lives of its citizens to care about tourism or be aware of tourism.
With tourism-aware citizens, the development of tourism objects in the village will be better because it is fully supported by its citizens.
"So it is not only physical development, but also human empowerment," She said.
Even before building attractions, the village government first built the souls of citizens for tourism.
Previously it was known that a number of villages in the City of Pariman built tourism objects using village funds.
The village namely Desa Kampung Gadang, Pariaman Timur Sub-district built a pond and waterwheel.
Then Desa Tungkal Selatan, Pariaman Utara Subdistrict built a bicycle hanging in the background of rice fields and hills.
Furthermore, Desa Mangguang will also develop Talao attractions with the concept of bathing and equipped with a bicycle hanging with the background of the sea and beach.
