Painan (ANTARA) - Investors from the United States are exploring the potential of a hospitality business in Pesisir Selatan District, W Sumatra by visiting a number of locations accompanied by the local regional head on Monday.
"Today, I and Emad Hamda visited the Bukit Baliang-Baliang Painan and Pulau Cingkuak in the Pantai Carocok Painan tourist area," said the Pesisir Selatan Regent, Hendrajoni, interrupted by the activity.
He added, during the visit he explained in detail about the various potentials that exist in the location as an effort to convince investors.
He said, currently in Pesisir Selatan, various sectors were developing especially tourism, so the presence of investors especially the hotel services sector was needed.
"Investors are very needed in supporting the tourism sector, because if the development only relies on the government budget, the process will take a long time," he said.
Meanwhile, Emad Hamdan, said, the hotel business in Pesisir Selatan is quite potential to be developed, as a further stage of the visit today, the results will be disclosed to its partners in the State of Kuwait.
"The hospitality business has enough potential in Pesisir Selatan, at this time we are in the stage of collecting data and then will be submitted to my partners in Kuwait," he said.
In accordance with a special plan on Pulau Cingkuak , the local district government will develop Portuguese tourism, the plan began because at the location there was a Portuguese fort
First the restoration of the fort would be made to be better, then built Portuguese-style buildings.
Furthermore, he will also provide Portuguese-style clothes for both women and men of all sizes.
With all Portuguese tours, in the future tourists who go to Pulau Cingkuak are not only limited to enjoying white sand and trying out various water games, but also they can wear Portuguese-style clothes in the past.
