South Pesisir To Introduce Batik Lumpo

Painan, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The Government of South Pesisir District, West Sumatra is trying to introduce batik lumpo, which started from State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in that area.

"Batik production of Rumah Batik Lumpo is no less beautiful with than batik, so I encourage ASN to buy batik production in the area," he said here on Monday.

With the number of employees in the scope of district secretariat as many as 1,209 people, it will have a major impact on the Rumah Batik Lumpo development.

If all ASNs in the area wear batik lumpo and used in activities outside the area, it will help in promoting it.

"Certainly it will also increase the producer's home and affect the welfare of its employees," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of Department of Investment, Integrated One Door Licensing Services of South Pesisir, Suardi said batik production in Rumah Batik Lumpo has several advantages such as in terms of staining in using the sap from plants such as jengkol skin and gambier leaf.

So batik lumpo has its own charm when compared with other batik in Indonesia.

Besides, it plans to introduce batik lumpo at forum of Government Association of All Indonesia (APKASI) which was held in Tangerang, Banten on July 6-7, 2018.

Through this activity, it is expected that batik lumpo will be widely known. (cha)
