Mentawai, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The Government of Mentawai Islands District, West Sumatra focuses on the construction of clean water network in Siberut Island, the Local Regent Judas Sabaggalet stated in Tuapejat on Monday.
He said that his side has coordinated with related provincial offices, such as Water Resources Management Agency, Public Works Agency and invited directly Water Resources Council.
Development of clean water network, he said, has a significant impact on people's lives, for it will facilitate and support the parties who will conduct a survey of clean water sources.
"From the meeting with Vice Governor of West Sumatra, Nasrul Abit, he has instructed the team to conduct a survey on clean water sources in Siberut Island," he said.
He added that the joint team would then list the sources of clean water and plan for distribution to the public.
Furthermore, Yudas said that within one week, all the planning and data collection of clean water sources has been completed, including the long needs of pipes and water sources to reach the community.
Besides, his side has built two water sources and channeled to the community. Two clean water supply networks construction in Sipora Island is the district capital. (cha)
