Asita is Asked To Prepare Tourism Packages for Investors

Padang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The Head of One Stop Door Service of West Sumatra, Maswar Dedi asked local travel entrepreneurs association (Asita) to prepare tourism packages for investors from the United States (US).

"There are several potential of investors to see the potential of West Sumatra tourism development so that we hope Asita can prepare tourism packages for them," he said in Padang on Wednesday.

The interest of prospective US investors originated from the visit of West Sumatera Provincial Government delegation led by Governor Irwan Prayitno to Chicago, USA in an effort to attract such investment.

Efforts to introduce West Sumatra turned out to run well, because some potentials of US investors have known Mentawai as one of the world's surfing paradise.

With the Mentawai as a starting point, they seemed to be groping the huge potential that existed in West Sumatra.

A number of potential investors directly expressed interest in investing primarily for development of resorts and hotels.

But they hope to visit West Sumatra to the potential and location that can be developed.

The visit was planned to be facilitated by American Sociaty of Travel Agents (ASTA). ASITA of West Sumatra is expected to communicate with ASTA primarily to prepare destinations worth visiting.

Chairman of West Sumatra Asita, Ian Hanifiah said it is always ready to prepare tourism packages as desired tourists who want to visit.

It can also prepare a special package for prospective money investors who want to see the potential of regional tourism that can be developed.

West Sumatra has tremendous tourism potentials ranging from under the sea, island tourism, hillside beaches, valleys and mountains.

In addition, the peculiarities of customs and culinary of West Sumatra also been known by the world. (cha)
