PLN's readiness to secure electricity during Ramadan and Eid amid coronavirus pandemic
Padang (ANTARA) - PT PLN (Persero) Regional Main Unit (UIW) of West Sumatra held technical service readiness simultaneously in all Customer Service Implementation Units (UP3) and Customer Service Units (ULP) in the West Sumatra PLN UIW working area on Wednesday (15/4).
For UP3 Padang, the event was held at Main Office of PLN UIW West Sumatra. Uniquely, this activity uses online video conferencing media to connect each ULP and UP3 with the Main Office so it eases the coordination between implementing units and customer service units (ULP) of PLN UIW West Sumatra.
The theme of the activity was "The Spirit of Best Service amid Covid-19 in Welcoming Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1441 H" This event was attended by General Manager of PLN UIW West Sumatra, all Senior Managers, UP3 Managers, Section Managers, and Technical Service Officers of PT Haleyora Power and PLN PDKB officer.
General Manager of PLN UIW of West Sumatra Bambang Dwiyanto said that PLN routinely holds technical service readiness to ensure electricity supply security ahead of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1441 H.

"Through this activity let us stabilize the attitude and intention that in any condition PLN is ready to maintain the electricity supply of the people, PLN's main task is to provide electricity to all corners of the archipelago," said Bambang.
PLN UIW West Sumatra currently has prepared 157 standby posts in each ULP and 1443 officers complete with equipment and PPE supported by 48 generators, 51 units of mobile substations that are ready to ensure electricity supply and minimize power outages when disturbances occur .

"PLN will work better by following the established SOP. I have also checked the equipment in the field, it is complete and in good condition," Bambang added.
PLN made various preparations in order to secure electricity supply during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1441 H so that the people could worship comfortably and calmly.
On that occasion, PLN Baitul Mal Foundation (YBM PLN) of West Sumatra through each implementing unit also handed over basic food packages to the mustahiq who were scattered throughout the West Sumatra region. This assistance is a form of PLN's concern for the community environment, especially amid Covid-19.
