Pertamina Prepares BBM Packaging in W Sumatra

Padang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - PT. Pertamina Marketing Operation Region I (MOR I) prepares fuel oil (BBM) packaging in West Sumatra to facilitate the people who are stuck in traffic jams during Eid holiday this year.

General Manager of PT. Pertamina MOR I Sumbagut, Joko Pitoyo, after conducting Ramadhan safari in Padang, Monday (May 28) night mentioned that packaged BBM carried by officers by motorcycle is placed on national road to Bukittinggi and Agam which had been the center congestion.

"We will place the fuel packs in Padang Lua and Baso, Agam District which are the center of congestion as the main route to become Bukittinggi Tourism Municipality," he explained.

BBM packaging is part of Task Force (Satgas) Ramadhan (fasting month) and Eid al-Fitr 2018.

In general, the motorbike is set at a gas station, and if a vehicle breaks down because it runs out of fuel, it will go straight to it, he noted.

Joko added that Pertamina in facing the long holiday of Eid will begin to be activated on May 30 to June 28.

"The Task Force of Eid al-Fitr is formed as an effort to face Eid holiday and the increasing need of BBM by society," he remarked.

Joko said to anticipate the fuel consumption spike, Pertamina has set up three bags of gas stations in West Sumatra which located in three locations namely SPBU Padang Lua Bukittinggi with number 14264566, SPBU Baso Agam with number 14261580, and Ngalau Payakumbuh gas station with number 142626543.

Meanwhile, for fuel supply, currently in TBBM Teluk Kabung, Pertamina has stock premium fuel type for 19,66 day, diesel 18,41 day, and avtur 7,43 day.

For fuel consumption, Pertamina prepares 2,250 kiloliters a day, consisting of 1,310 kiloliters of premium, 1,050 kiloliters of pertalite and pertamax 90 kiloliters.

The highest increase in fuel consumption during Eid estimated to occur in 50 cities which can reach 50 percent. (cha)
