Padang Panjang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The Government of Padang Panjang Municipality, West Sumatra through Tourism Department plans to form a tourism village in order to increase tourist visits to the area.
"It is true that we are currently designing a new tourist destination place that is called Tourism Village," Secretary of Tourism Office of Padang Panjang, Dalius stated in Padang Panjang, Friday.
Dalius added, after tracing to several areas such as Koto Katiak Village, and Gantiang there are several tourism potential that can be developed.
"We find places of tourist destinations as well as tourist sites in a number of areas in West Sumatra, as well as in place of dairy cattle," Dalius said.
He mentioned in Gantiang, there is also a potential of water tourism as well as attractions "Aia Hilang".
"The two attractions are very interesting for us to be developed," he added. (cha)
