Central Gov't Allocated Rp1.1 Billion for Dharmasraya Tourism

Pulau Punjung, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The central government allocates a special allocation fund (DAK) of Rp1.1 billion for the development of tourism potential of Dharmasraya District, West Sumatra in 2018. "The fund will be used for infrastructure development such as view towers, arts stages, and toilet changing rooms at the number of tourist points," Sutan Henri, head of the local Culture, Tourism and Sport Agency stated in Pulau Punjung, Tuesday. He specifies the funds used Rp400 million to build a toilet changing room in the area of Padang Roco Temple Complex, Pulau Sawah Temple and Ngalau Sungai Suko. Then, Rp400 million for the construction of a view tower in the paralayang hill area, Nagari (Traditional Village) of Gunung Salasiah, Pulau Punjung Sub-district, and the construction of art stage in Simpang Silago Open Space (RTH) of Rp300 million. All facilities which will be built is expected to support the development of the attraction. "Moreover, tourism facilities do not complete tourist attraction at all yet," he said. He explained the selection of one of the tourist area of Padang Roco Temple complex because the tourist attraction is a historic tourist destination.
