Pariaman, (Antara Sumbar) - The Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia has disbursed Rp2.6 billion of assistance to Joint Business Group (KUBE) in five cities and regencies in West Sumatra province during 2017.
"The five receiving areas of KUBE have been realized and sent directly through their respective accounts," Head of the Poverty Management Section of West Sumatra Social Service Heni Yenida stated in Pariaman on Wednesday, during the socialization of the poor data update.
He specifies that each region has different quota in receiving the aid, such as South Pesisir District 30 groups, Solok District 20 groups, Dharmasraya District 30 groups, Payakumbuh 30 groups and Pariaman Municipality 20 groups.
Each group, he said each received assistance of Rp20 million to be used as a supporter of community business development in various regions.
"In total there are 130 KUBEs assisted by the Ministry of Social Affairs in 2017 from five districts and cities in West Sumatra," he said.
The West Sumatra Provincial Government has proposed 300 KUBEs in 2018 to the Ministry of Social Affairs from four districts and three cities, he said.
"We hope that by 2018, all the KUBEs submitted by the provincial government can be granted by the Ministry of Social Affairs so as to support the economic of community," he said.
He explained that the data submitted by the regency and city to provincial government will be verified and validated by relevant offices in accordance with the Integrated Database.
Then after receiving the Integrated Database, the provincial government appoints the escort personnel to KUBE recipients to run the business according to the prescribed direction. (cha)
