Batusangkar (ANTARA) - A total of 160 foreign tourists from China is planned to visit Tanah Datar Regency, W Sumatra on January 27th by visiting several attractions.
"The tourist attraction that will be visit are the location of Pacu Jawi in Nagari Pariangan Sungai Jambu, and Istano Basa Pagaruyung," said division head of tourism Tanah Datar, Efrison in Batusangkar on Tuesday.
The arrival of Chinese tourists is planned to depart directly from China to Minangkabau International Airport (BIM).
He hopes that the stakeholders and the local community provide the best service to bring a good and interesting impression on the eyes of tourists.
He said to welcome the visitor's visit, the government of Tanah Datar District changed of the Pacu Jawi agenda which is usually held every Saturday.
"Usually, Pacu Jawi agenda is held every Saturday But, because the tourists come on January 26 so the agenda will be held on January 27,"he said.
He assessed the tourists arrival as well as an opportunity for Tanah Datar to introduce local tourism and culture owned in the local area.
"To the tourism and culinary business to be able to utilize this chance and optimize the preparation so that tourists can enjoy the tourist attraction in Tanah Datar," he said.
