Sundanese Community participates in the allegorical parade in Agam

Lubuk Basung (ANTARA) - The Sundanese Citizen Association (PWS) of Agam Regency, W Sumatra participated in an allegorical parade organized by the local government in the framework of the 74th Indonesian Independence Day on Monday.

Agam's PWS adviser, Apon Kusmayadi in Lubukbasung, said on Monday, a member of 20 people gave tumpeng to the Agam Regent, Indra Catri.

Besides that, it also featured native Sundanese martial arts, the appearance of the Asmat Tribe and others.

"This is our form of participation in enlivening the 74th Indonesian Independence Day," he said accompanied by another advisor, Cecep Kusnadi.

He added, PWS Agam had participated in allegorical parade twice on the 74th Indonesian Independence Day.

Last year, it featured Singa Depok Art and martial arts.

One of the residents of Lubukbasung, Gusleli Harti, said that the community was very entertained with allegorical parade, because it featured traditional Minangkabau art, car ornaments, and other performances.

"Thousands of people watched allegorical parade along the road that participants passed," he said.

Allegoris' parade coordinator, Yunaidi said the allegorical parade was joined by 245 groups ranging from kindergarten to 45 groups, elementary schools and MI 65 groups.

While 15 groups of SLTP, 15 groups of SLTA, 35 groups of local government organizations (OPD), 30 groups of trabas, community, and 40 groups of Kijang Super.
