71,229 Tourists Visit Mandeh, Carocok Beach

Painan, (Antaranews Sumbar) - A total of 71,229 tourists both local and national invaded two leading tourist attractions in South Pesisir District, West Sumatra namely Integrated Marine Tourism Area (KWBT) of Mandeh and Carocok Beach Painan since the first day of Eid 2018.
"There were 51,578 tourists who visit Carocok Painan Beach up to Tuesday (June 19), while the remaining 19,651 tourists visit Mandeh," Head of local Tourism, Youth and Sports Agency Mawardi Roska stated here on Wednesday.
He added that the increase in visits on both attractions occurred on the third day of Eid holiday in which Carocok Beach Painan is visited by 15,010 tourists and Mandeh is visited by 6,406 tourists.

Meanwhile, on the first day of Lebaran holiday the visits on both attractions are still few ie in Carocok Beach Painan only 745 tourists and Mandeh is visited by 159 tourists only.

"On the first day of Lebaran holiday, the community will focus on visiting relatives and on the second day they are just visiting the tourist attraction, while tourists who are coming from outside the province are on their way to South Pesisir," he explained.
He said tourists who visit the two attractions come from various provinces in the island of Sumatra including from Bengkulu, Jambi, Pekanbaru, Batam even among also from Jakarta, West Java, Central Java and East Java.

Entrance ticket to both tourist attractions is Rp5 thousand and then tourists can enjoy the beauty of marine tourism object.
Especially in Carocok Beach Painan tourists will be served the scenery of coral reefs and the exotic views of Cingkuak Island.
While for tourists who want to enjoy the sensation of vacationing they can try the arena of banana boat, donat boat or speed boat ride. They also can directly visit Cingkuak Island by paying Rp21 thousand per person.
In addition to enjoy the beauty of the islands from a distance, tourists who visit Mandeh can also go for it directly but tourists must pay the rent to local community. The tariff is ranging from Rp650 thousand to Rp1.5 million or it depends on the number of islands to be visited. (cha)
