Painan, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The Government of South Pesisir District, West Sumatra will hold the National Beach Volleyball Circuit Open Series II on April 26 to 29, 2018 followed by 58 teams consisting of 34 boys and 24 girls.
Assistant I of the District Administration, Gunawan in Painan, said 58 teams came from nine provinces and eleven districts or municipalities in West Sumatra.
Currently, his side is continuing to finalize the preparation of cross-organization of regional apparatus so that the activity runs after the plan.
"The last few years, the district government routinely performs this activity and we are working to make the success in the past years remain repeated," he said.
He noted that the number of teams that will compete will continue to grow before the tournament is held as similar as the previous year realization.
Meanwhile, Head of local Tourism, Youth and Sports Agency, Mawardi Roska mentioned the implementation of National Beach Volleyball Circuit Open Series II as well as a show of skill performances of each teams, it is also as a forum to promote the area's tourist attraction.
"The competition will be held at Rangeh Gadang Stadium, Sago Beach. It is one of the sportourism that we annually titled," he remarked. (cha)
