Padang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The West Sumatera Business Summit and Business Exhibition which is packed in "Minangkabau Summit" provides an opportunity for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the area to expand their markets.
"The exhibition is presenting SMEs products and providing the access to business actors in expanding their market so that it should be utilized optimally," Governor of West Sumatra, Irwan Prayitno stated after opening the exhibition in Padang, Monday.
According to him, SMEs are the main economic joints of West Sumatra that deserve more attention from the government, one of them by giving them greater possibilities for growth.
"In HPN, business actors can promote their business and it can seen directly by people so that it opens cooperation opportunities from investors who are outside the region," he continued.
Besides as an exhibition event, a number of other activities are also held in Minangkabau Summit such as race run, pantun contest, poetry, environmentally themed of journalistic work, staging art and others.
He hopes that the activity really has a positive effect for SMEs in the area. (cha)
