Pariaman (ANTARA) - About 600 of tourists from various area visited Pulau Angso Duo in Pariman City, West Sumatra that was open by local government in the New Normal era.
“That numbers was recorded from ticket sales to Pulau Angso Duo since June 20 until the end of July,” said Head of the Piaman Wisata Mandiri Cooperative, Riki Bernama in Pariaman, Saturday.
He said, before it was opened, his party has prepared tourist ship based on the COVID-19 health protocol for public transportation such as limited the transport capacity and provided the buoys.
However, tourist visits to that place in July still not increase yet because the reduction of the amount of passenger capacity, and severe weather that hit the place.
He conveyed that from June 20 to 30 the ticket sales only 300 tickets, and in July the ticket number that was sold out also 300 tickets because of severe weather.
“In this month, tourist ship can only bring the tourists three days in a week,” he said.
He hoped in this the Eid al-Adha holidays, the tourist visits to Pulau Angso Duo was increased and the weather was good so that the economy of touris boat businessman in the area can increase.
Meanwhile, one of the boat owners, Zainal Efendi said the tourist visits to Pulau Angso Duo on Saturday have started to increase because entering the Eid al-Adha 1441H holiday.
“Alhamdulillah, the tourist visits have started to increase on Saturday, until at 12.00 PM there were 50 tourists that I sent to the island,” he said.
He said, tourists started to crowded in the island since the last week, the tourists who came were migrant that return home and also from the West Sumatra residents who utilized the Eid al-Adha holiday.
