Bukik Cinangkiek still less visitors in new normal

Solok (ANTARA) - Owner of Bukik Cinangkiek Dream Park tourist destination in Solok Regency, W sumatra, Epyardi Asda said that the tourist visits to his tourist destination was decreased in new normal.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has big impact to economic and also tourism,” he stated in Solok, Sunday.

According to him, before pandemic the tourist visits reached thousands people per day and on weekend reached five thousands people.

He said in this new normal, Bukik Cinangkiek destination has reopen after was closed since March, 2020 due to COVID-19.

According to him, many businessman in tourism sector and himself loss. His destination has a wooden house villa, a camping site, 15 complete game rides.

Epyardi said he would continue to add facilities on Bukik Chinangkiek and there were two rides to be built namely Hysteria and Roller Coster.

Both vehicles are still being ordered and may be installed in October 2020.

"I want to make this destination the best, not only in West Sumatra but nationally," he said.

While one of the dozen people from the bicycle community, Banua Siregar said he came with fellow journalists who like cycling, cycling activity is routine he carried out every week.

According to him during COVID-19 pandemic, we must continue to improve the body's immunity and one way to do it is by cycling and other sports activities.

"Usually we ride a bicycle just in Padang, but in this time we stay here and enjoy cycling at the Bukik Chinangkiek area to the edge of Lake Singkarak. This is an extraordinary experience in between daily activities, "he said.
