PLN West Sumatra launches  ULP Bukittinggi to improve excellent  service

Padang (ANTARA) - PLN West Sumatra Regional Unit (UIW) launched the Bukittinggi Customer Service Unit (ULP), which is the third after the Payakumbuh ULP, and the Limapuluhkota ULP.

The launch was held virtually via video conference on Tuesday (7/21), in the launch was attended Sumatra and Kalimantan Regional Business Director PLN, Wiluyo Kusdwiharto, President Director of PT Haleyora Power Sulistyo Biantoro, EVP Sumatra Regional Development, Supriyadi, EVP Sumatra and Kalimantan Regional Operations,Riza Gustam and Directors Executive Manager, Toni Belami.

From PLN West Sumatra was attended by General Manager PLN UIW West Sumatra, Bambang Dwiyanto along with all the Senior Managers, UP3 Bukittinggi Manager, Syaiful Azhari Siregar, ULP Bukittinggi Manager, Budi Bagia.

In his remarks, PLN's Sumatra and Kalimantan Regional Business Director, Wiluyo Kusdwiharto expressed his appreciation for the launch of the Bukittinggi Technical ULP.

"Thank you PLN West Sumatra, which has significantly succeeded in reducing the disruption that caused outages. At present reliability is a fixed price that we must carry out in order to provide the best service to customers. I warmly welcome the technical ULP which will focus on increasing the reliability of electricity in order to provide the best service to customers, "said Wiluyo.

On that occasion Wiluyo also reminded employees to interpret transformation with sincerity and the spirit of giving their best

West Sumatra PLN UIW General Manager Bambang Dwiyanto in his remarks revealed that there had been a significant reduction in disruption in West Sumatra, one of which occurred in technical ULP.

"There has been decreased interference generally in West Sumatra from 2019 to 2020. The YoY feeder disorder in June 2019 was 218 times, in June 2020 it dropped to 167 times. Then SAIDI (duration of disruption) fell of 53 percent from June 2019 and SAIFI (frequency of disruption) decreased of 55 percent in 2019. However, this must continue to be pressed again until it is truly reliable. We will continue to oversee and carry out improvement and evaluation in order to increase reliability, "said Bambang.

One of the benefits of a technical ULP is that the unit can focus on improving reliability by carrying out preventive maintenance to minimize the potential for interference. Officers can also use routine time to conduct an inspection of the PLN electricity network, conduct cleaning and revamping of PLN's assets.

Thus, the reliability without any interference can be realized in accordance with our goals.
