Payakumbuh (ANTARA) - Investors from South Korea are exploring the investment in the coffee processing industry in the City of Payakumbuh.

"Two South Korean businessmen who came yesterday to review the Coffee UKM in Limbukan and they were interested in investing here," said Head of the Department of Manpower and Industry of Manpower and Transmigration in Payakumbuh City, Dewi Novita, at Payakumbuh, on Thursday.

The arrival of the two South Korean businessmen was to ensure the availability of raw materials for processing coffee products.

"Processed coffee in South Korea is used by those who use creamer, so the raw material for creamer is coconut which is very much here," he said.

He said that South Korea is not a country producing coffee processed raw materials but is capable of producing good quality and processed coffee.

"The coffee material is imported from outside but can produce good coffee, everyone who comes home from Kosel always brings coffee because the production is very good," he said.

The South Korean businessman also gave a few recipes on how to make Coffee Mix which is selling well in South Korea.

"So we want, they also want to build the best-selling coffee processing factory here," he said.

Payakumbuh Mayor Riza Falepi said that he wanted the coffee processing investment to be fully funded by investors.

"So we want all of them to be built by them not to burden the Regional Budget but we promise to make all their permits easier," he said.
