Padang, (Antara Sumbar) - West Sumatra Transportation Agency sets up a unique activity in the form of a seminar on board sailing from Mandeh Tour Area to Mentawai Islands for 2018 National Press Day (HPN) participants in the province.
"The activity is planned to use Motor Vessel (KM) of Sabuk Nusantara for two days from February 5 to 6, 2018," West Sumatra Dept. of Transportation Head Amran said in Padang on Monday (Oct 9).
The vessel can accommodate about 200 participants of seminar including the crew and committee.
The seminar to be held according to him will be coordinated with the Research and Development Agency (Balitbang) of West Sumatra as the appointed agency to host seminar in 2018 HPN.
The possibility of seminar is related to tourism, transportation safety, business as well as involving senior journalists.
In addition to the seminar, the event is at once to promote potential of marine tourism from West Sumatra Region especially Mandeh in the South Pesisir, Padang and Mentawai.
The seminar on the ship became one of activities that could entertain the participants of HPN in West Sumatra.
In addition to West Sumatra Transportation Agency, other OPD also hold a support activity to enliven the 2018 HPN.
District and municipal governments also hold similar activities, such as Padangpanjang which plans to showcase silk lanyah or martial arts demonstrations in the mud, typical of the city. (cha)
