Padang, (Antara Sumbar) - The Government of Padang Municipality, West Sumatra strengthens the socialization of non-cash used by cooperating with several banks.
"Some time ago, it has been working with regional development banks, later the use of non-cash money intensified," Padang Mayor Mahyeldi Ansharullah stated in Padang on Friday.
Efforts are made to strengthen the bank's non-cash movement by applying the use of non-cash money in the civil state apparatus up to the public.
Later payments and administration concerning services in government will be directed to non-cash.
Currently several agencies have prepared the implementation of non-cash payments in administrative matters.
"Money and non-cash payments are in line with Padang's move to be a smart city," he added.
Some of the things that benefit the use of non-cash money such as performance efficiency, cost reduction, and can prevent criminal acts.
That way citizens do not have to carry a lot of money at risk, but by scanning each payment becomes more practical and easy.
In addition, the flow of non-cash payment can also be monitored by government so as to minimize fraud. (cha)
