W Sumatra Provincial Government plans to build a tower of view at the Kelok Sembilan Bridge area, Limapuluh Kota Regency to reduce community activities on the road body.
"We have completed the DED (detailed engineering design), now we are taking care of the permit with the Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA)," Deputy Governor of W Sumatra Nasrul Abit said on Tuesday.
He also mentioned that the BKSDA had expressed a desire to help permission from the Ministry of Forestry.
"If the permit is obtained, it will be built around 2021 or 2022," he said.
The height of the tower to be built is approximately 60 meters. So the visitors can see the beauty of the location and take pictures.

"If there are a lot of visitors who come to this view tower of course the traders at Kelok Sembilan want to move," he said.
He acknowledged that at this time there were still many activities at the location, such as traders or the community who stopped to take pictures.
This activity disturbs the comfort of other motorists and can make the durability of the Kelok Sembilan building decrease.
"Hopefully this development plan can run and in accordance with what we expect," he said.
