Dharmasraya To Arrange Street Vendors Location

Pulau Punjung, (Antaranews Sumbar) - Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs assist the Government of Dharmasraya District, West Sumatra in strengthening the location of street vendors business (PKL) in the area.

"There is Rp500 million budget which is sourced from Co-Administration Ministry (Kemenkop) and SME 2018," Dharmasraya Regent, Sutan Riska stated in Punjung Island, Friday.

Traders who get help are located in the area of Jorong Tabek, Nagari (Traditional Village) IV Koto Pulau Punjung. Aid for traders includes facilities and infrastructure such as wagons, handbags, kiosks, regional roads, venture capital, and others.

"Hopefully, all activities will start this year, it is expected to boost the economy of the surrounding community," he said.

According to him if the aid is done then the location will be the purpose of community to relax and enjoy Dharmasraya typical handicraft because it is on the edge of Lintas Sumatra road.

"The location is directly under the Sungai Dareh bridge, on the banks of the Batanghari River wgere the atmosphere adds a special attraction for people to enjoy," he explained.

He added that the fund is an effort of Government of Dharmasraya District to get central government assistance by submitting a proposal last year.

"In West Sumatra, the region which accept are Pariaman and Dharmasraya only, of course the attention of central government is our appreciation," he added. (cha)
