Batusangkar (ANTARA) -  A number of cultural heritage sites in Tanah Datar District, W Sumatra will be made short films to enhance publicity and the active role of the community in preserving cultural heritage.

"Short films of cultural heritage that will be made include Balairung Sari Tabek, Medan Bapaneh, Rumah Tuo Kampai Nan Panjang in Rambatan, Tomb of Tantejo Gurhano in Pariangan, and Tuan Kadhi Tomb of Padang Gantiang," said Head of the Preservation Center for Conservation of Nature (BPCB) of W Sumatra, Nurmatias in Batusangkar on Tuesday.

He said the making of the short film would work with students of IAIN Batusangkar.

The student also visited BPCB collection room and sites to collect data related to the cultural heritage.

He hopes the results of these activities can become one of the effective publications in order to increase the active role of the community in preserving cultural heritage.

"The activities carried out by Batusangkar IAIN students are very positive and beneficial for increasing publicity and the active role of the community in preserving cultural heritage," he said.

He thanked the campus of IAIN Batusangkar for caring about the importance of efforts to preserve the Cultural Heritage.

"Hopefully this cooperation can be further enhanced in the future, especially in preserving cultural heritage," he said.
