Agam (ANTARA) - A total of four individual Rafflesia flower type arnoldii in bloom simultaneously at two population points in Jorong Data Simpang Dingin, Nagari Paninjauan, sub-district Tanjungraya, Agam Regency, W Sumatera.

Two other Rafflesia flowers have gone through a perfect blooming period or bloom on the seventh day.

"The two Rafflesia flowers are black and will rot," he said.

"We also found some knobs in the area," he said.

He admitted, in Agam there are 13 spots of the population distribution of Rafflesia which is mostly found in the area surrounding Lake Maninjau.

Rafflesia flowers are rare and protected by law No 5 year 1990 about natural resources conservation and its ecosystem.
