Padang (ANTARA) - The Government of W Sumatra Provincial was ready to welcome tourists in a new normal era by prioritizing health protocols.
"We have taken a number of steps to ensure all elements are ready to welcome tourists who come to W Sumatra," said the Head of the West Sumatra Tourism Office, Novrial in Padang, Thursday.
He said the West Sumatra Tourism Office had prepared guidelines to be adopted as SOPs by the Regency and City Government starting from the operation of attractions, restaurants to hotels.

The application of SOP in tourist attractions was reviewed directly by the Governor and Deputy Governor of W Sumatra with good results. for example was Restaurants have started implementing health protocols.
Hand washing facilities were provided in several places, providing thermoguns, waiters wearing masks and even face shields even have applied non-cash payments to avoid face to face.

One form of promotion carried out was by displaying regional art at the entrance of the domestic arrival of the Minangkabau International Airport (BIM). Passengers who arrive at BIM are presented with Minang special arts.
