Padang (ANTARA) - PT Pelindo II / IPC Teluk Bayur continues to provide services to all service users and partners on Eid Al-Fitr 1441 Hijri or on May24-25, 2020 even though it was determined by the government as a national holiday .
"Regarding loading and unloading services and other based on agreements of all relevant stakeholders, IPC Teluk Bayur continues to operate for 24 hours in 7 days including during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday," said General Manager of IPC Teluk Bayur, Wardoyo in Padang, Wednesday.
"Especially on the first day of Eid al-Fitr there will be adjustments to operational working hours at the Port of Teluk Bayur to provide a chance for workers to perform Eid prayer and stay in touch with family," he explained.

However, IPC Teluk Bayur as the port operator still prepares operational officers to be on standby if there are ships that cannot be delayed, especially those that carry basic needs of the community, fuel, medical aid / medical equipment, and other urgent necessities, he explained.
He conveyed that in order to ensure the continuity of the logistics chain in W Sumatra Province keep runs well, and also to serve ships that transport logistical needs, his party has arranged the work schedule of operational officers in the field, so that during Eid al-Fitr, the IPC Teluk Bayur service keep operating.
In addition, in providing management services, Teluk Bayur IPC will continue to implement health protocols for all operational officers on duty on ships or on land, by wearing masks, gloves and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and checking body temperature.

Then optimize all CCTV to be accessed directly by the Ministry of Transportation and the Ministry of SOEs, so that it is expected that all services, both loading and unloading of goods and ship services, can run well, he explained.
Wardoyo added that he continued to establish intensive coordination and communication with the Port Authority, the Police, the Port Health Office, the Quarantine Office, Customs and Immigration Offices, in order to ensure the smooth operation of port services and the security of all facilities at IPC Teluk Bayur, which is one of the Vital Objects National.
