Padang (ANTARA) - Local Regulation on the implementation of halal tourism in W Sumatra is still in the process of refinement and is targeted to be completed in the first quarter of 2020.
"Today there is a seminar at DPRD (Regional House of Representatives) of W Sumatra. All tourism sector stakeholders are invited to provide input so that this local regulation can be implemented, "said the Head of the W Sumatra Tourism Office, Novrial in Padang, Monday.
He mentioned that the suggestions from all parties are very necessary so that the resulting of regional regulation is not careless.
The involvement of all parties is also needed because later those who will be bound by the rules are tourism businesses.
The draft local regulation has actually been drafted since 2016, but until now it has not been approved as a local regulation.
It is suspected that there are still many shortcomings in the draft so the discussion is deadlocked. Currently, the Tourism Office is trying to perfect the draft, and has been discussed in the W Sumatra DPRD.
However, because the members of Regional House of Representatives are still new, a deepening is still needed so that the rules can be applied later. *
