Batusangkar, (Antaranews Sumbar) - Pacu Jawi Cultural Attractions which is one of the traditions of Tanah Datar, West Sumatra is nominated as Indonesian Charm Grace (API) 2018 in the category of Top Culture Attractions.
Head of Tourism Youth and Sports Office of Tanah Datar, Edi Susanto in Batusangkar on Tuesday (May 29) said the attraction of pacu jawi is one tradition of society that has long been popular among tourists.
He said in addition to pacu jawi, there are several other proposed tourism objects such as Istano Basa Pagaruyuang, Nagari Tuo Pariangan and so on in the area.
In general, he further expected that Pacu Jawi can win the category so as to further enhance the attractiveness of tourists to visit Tanah Datar.
"The arrival of tourists to Tanah Datar is not only to visit Istano Pagaruyuang or Pariangan, but also to see Pacu jawi attraction which is routinely done in some nagari," he remarked. (cha)
