Angso Duo Island Immediately Leased Two Inns for Tourist

Pariaman, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The City Government of Pariaman, West Sumatra immediately leased two units of lodging located on the island of Angso Duo to tourists in order to provide regional income.

"Currently the local government is still doing the addition of supporting facilities such as toilet and provision of canoe rides," Head of Culture and Tourism of Pariaman Agency, Elfis Candra stated in Pariaman, Thursday.

He said local government is also drafting appropriate regulations related to the rental or use of the lodging to tourists.

"The asset was originally owned by the Fisheries Department of Pariaman, but has been submitted to Department of Culture and Tourism to be managed to support Angso Duo Island tourist attraction," he said.

But now the government is still trying to convince the provincial government related to the melting discourse of several Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD).

The provincial government asked some UPTDs in the districts and cities in West Sumatra to be melted. While the inn is under the auspices of coastal management UPTD and Angso Duo Island.

"The city government of Pariaman together with West Sumatra Provincial Government had held several meetings related to UPTD smelting, but there is still a chance to defend it," he said.

One of the impact if there is a melting UPTD by provincial government, it will affect the performance of Department of Culture and Tourism of Pariaman, he said.

Due to some vital activities such as honorarium or cleaning staff of Angso Duo Island, the operational costs and sustainability of the addition of facilities and infrastructure are under the UPTD.

It asks tourists who will visit and plan to stay on the island of Angso Duo in order to be patient ahead of provincial government certainty including the preparation of lodging regulations. (cha)
