Padang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - PT Semen Padang synergizes with Department of Cooperatives and MSMEs of West Sumatra will maximize coaching program as part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.

"Semen Padang has agreed to synergize with Department of Cooperatives and MSMEs to increase human resources, management, assets, funds and marketing promotion of West Sumatra MSMEs," Head of CSR of PT Semen Padang Muhamad Ikrar stated in Padang on Monday.

According to him, it needs to synergize with Department of Cooperatives and MSMEs because Semen Padang CSR has some constraints in channeling of partnership program funds.

"There is lack information on CSR Partnership Program of Semen Padang, especially outside Padang City, so that we have to selectively in choosing the target partners," he said.

In addition, the limited human resources to conduct surveys and socialization outside the city of Padang, and high level of partners who are included in the category of traffic jams also constraints in facing Semen Padang CSR.

Therefore, he conveyed it has been agreed to provide data on MSMEs in West Sumatra according to the data of Department of Cooperatives and MSMEs, the selection to be a potential partner.

"We are also exploring a pilot project of cluster formation or MSME center based on the FGD results that will be facilitated by Cooperative and MSMEs Department," he said.

He also conveyed the exploration of cooperation for the development of MSMEs of rendang products actually had become an icon of West Sumatra so it can be accepted for international markets. Moreover, now there is a license to export to Australia held by the Office of Cooperatives and MSMEs of West Sumatra.

Besides, he mentions at this time the perpetrators of MSMEs who became the target of Semen Padang CSR are 1,723 units which spread across districts and cities in West Sumatra province.

"The most targeted partners are in Padang with 873 MSMEs, Solok 122 MSMEs and South Pesisir 100 MSMEs," he pointed out.

Meanwhile, Head of Cooperative and MSMEs Office of West Sumatra Zirma Yusri, said the points of agreement will be a joint commitment between his side with CSR of Semen Padang, especially in the central area of ??excellent production in the province.
