
Agam Proposed 100 Fishermen Houses Construction

Lubukbasung, (Antara Sumbar) - The government of Agam District, West Sumatra, proposed the construction of 100 fishermen houses in Tanjungmutiara Sub-district to the Ministry of Public Workers and People's Housing (Kemenpupera) in 2017 whose development is planned to be done this year.
Head of Housing Section of Public Housing and Settlement of Agam, Rudi Hendri in Lubukbasung, Friday, said 100 units of houses for fishermen in Tiku Lima Jorong amounted to 50 units and 50 units of South Tiku.
The construction site of the house has been available on one stretch and has been certified, he said.
Agam Regency has proposed the construction of house by the end of 2017 and Kemenpupera has verified to the field.
"We hope all the proposals are approved so that fishermen in Tanjungmutiara get proper housing assistance," he said.
In 2017, he added, Agam District received a fund allocation of Rp7.5 billion to build 50 units of houses in Muaro Putih, Nagari Tiku Lima Jorong, Tanjungmutiara Sub-district.
The construction of the house has been completed and the handover is left between Kemenpupera to Agam District and fishermen.
"The handover will be done in the near future, so the fishermen can occupy the house," he said.
Community Leader of Tiku Lima Jorong, Abdul Muis, said it has provided land for the construction of houses for fishermen and the land has been certified.
"We will give the land needed for the construction of the house for fishermen," he said.
During this time, it strongly supports the program from the government to improve the economy of community, he added. (cha)
