Payakumbuh (ANTARA) - The Government of Payakumbuh City, W Sumatra announced the addition of one positive case of COVID-19, until now there have been two positive cases in the area.

Deputy Mayor of Payakumbuh Erwin Yunaz in Payakumbuh, on Tuesday, said the addition of one case was spread from direct contact with the first case that was announced on Friday (4/24).

"The patient with the initials AL is the second positive case in Payakumbuh, still the main family of the first positive patient," he said.

He said that currently the spread of COVID-19 in Payakumbuh had local transmission. So that people are asked to continue to obey the rules and appeals from the government.

Head of the City Health Office (DKK) Payakumbuh Bakhrizal said this positive case was a specimen sent by his party on Saturday (4/25)

"There are five specimens that we sent on Saturday that were the main family of the first positive patient. This patient works daily with the first positive patient, "he said.

He said the second positive patient was undergoing independent isolation at home, monitored by health workers.

"The second patient was asymptomatic, but the lab results showed positive," he said.

At present, there have been 27 specimens sent by his party to the Unand Laboratory, with details of five specimens sent on Saturday (4/25), 11 specimens on Monday (4/27) and 10 other specimens sent on Tuesday (4/28).

"All of these specimens are the results of tracking with the first patient, we continue to do tracking for the first patient and the second positive patient," he said.
