Solok (ANTARA) - After successfully electrifying as many as 184 families in 2019, State-owned electricity company PLN of W Sumatra provides assistance again in the form of free new electricity installation to people who need through the "One Man One Hope" program.
The program targets to people who need several points in Solok Regency on April 7, 2020. Those who get this assistance are underprivileged people and really need electricity to support their daily activities.
During this time, electricity has entered their neighborhoods, but due to limited funds, residents have not been able to propose the new electricity installation to PLN. Therefore PLN is moving fast to provide assistance through the One Man One Hope program.
This program is a program initiated by PLN employees which provides a place for employees to voluntarily provide assistance to be used as the cost of new installments for the underprivileged people. The One Man One Hope assistance program this time distributes free new electricity installment assistance worth Rp23,504,000.
This assistance is allocated to 32 households. One of the residents of Nagari Saning Bakar, Afrizal, expressed his gratitude to PLN for providing something he had long dreamed of.
"We are very grateful that PLN is willing to care about our conditions, which are in full limitations. We have long wanted to enjoy electricity like most citizens. And our prayers were answered with the help of PLN employees. Hopefully their kindness will be rewarded with kindness multiplied from the almighty, "said Afrizal.
Village Head of Saning Bakar, Subdistrict X Koto Singkarak Dasrizal said his appreciation to PLN represented the entire sub-district government and the community.
"I am very grateful to PLN for freeing the cost of new electricity installment to the underprivileged people, hopefully PLN will remain victorious and be given fluency in all its programs," Dasrizal said
Meanwhile, General Manager of West Sumatra PLN, Bambang Dwiyanto, said that his office would still target people who needed electricity but were constrained by economic limitations.
"In addition to being a company engaged in providing prime electricity to the public, we also have a moral responsibility to provide electricity to all corners of the country and also all levels of society without exception. So, through this program we can share the goodness with others, "Bambang added.
The One Man One Hope program has been running since 2019. Bambang wants PLN West Sumatra can continue to be consistent and active in implementing this program so that it can help people who need in a wider scope in order to synergize with all elements of society in order to build a better life for all .
