18,000 Tourists Visit Mangrove Tourist Attraction in Pariaman

Pariaman, (Antaranews Sumbar) - Approximately there are 18,000 tourists from various regions visited the tourist attraction of mangrove tracking trail in Pariaman Municipality, West Sumatra during Eid holiday on June 16 to 22, 2018.

Technical Personnel of Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of Pariaman Conservation and Supervision of Marine and Fishery Resources (KPSDKP), Dayat in here on Monday said that the number of visits is based on data recorded by officers.

He said the high interest in visiting mangrove tourism object is also influenced by several factors. One of them occurs due to mangrove forest are is completed with turtle breeding center.

"Once the travelers visit the area, they can travel at once learn about turtles, animals which are protected by law," he noted.

Moreover, local government does not collect such retribution to tourists who visit the mangrove forest track.

However, every visitor must enter through the gate of UPT KPSDKP and pay Rp2,000 to get to that location. (cha)
