Simpang Empat, (Antaranews Sumbar) - Air Bangis tourist destination in Sungai Beremas Sub-district, West Pasaman District, West Sumatra on Monday (June 18) or in the atmosphere of Eid holiday is increasingly crowded with visitors.
"The visit was centered on Air Bangis Monument, Panjang Island and Pigago Island," Head of Public Relations of West Pasaman District, Yosmar Difia stated in here.
According to him, the location became a favorite tourist destination for the community during this time, especially during Eid holiday.
"It is predicted that the peak of the visit will take place on Tuesday (June 19) because the employees and the private sector come to work on Thursday (June 21) and Wednesday (June 0) the nomads have been behind the work preparation," he explained.
Secretary of Tourism Office of West Pasaman, Devi Irawan said it keeps monitoring the situation in a number of existing attractions including in Air Bangis.
"We are together with the joint team from Polres, Danramil, PMI and related elements continue to give appeal to public to keep paying attention to safety," he remarked.
He stated that the potential nature and beauty of the island which is about six kilometers from the wharf of Air Bangis beach is very large.
He considered if it is managed properly, it is likely that the location will be more famous and attract tourists from outside the region and even internationally. (cha)
