Raya Market Development To Continue This Year

Padang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The Government of Padang Municipality, West Sumatra will continue the construction of building, the arrangement of Raya Market environment and some satellite market this year.

"Raya Market which will be finalized in the arrangement are the Inpres Market, subsequent phase-building, and some auxiliary markets," Padang Trade Office head, Endrizal said in Padang on Wednesday.

The market that will be prepared to become one of the trading centers in West Sumatra has been completed in several part building including Inpres Block I, II, III and IV, and live merchant relocation in the vicinity.

Besides, on some sides of the market there are also sidewalks and parking areas which is going forward and it will be upgraded.

Another thing that will be arranged ie traffic such as in front of the Matahari and in front of Inpres Market.

His office with Transportation Department are designing traffic in the market, including the presence of a city transport terminal.

"The satellite market is also the focus of infrastructure development this year," he added.

For example Belimbing Market in Kuranji Sub-district which has been completed in one building and the merchant in the area had been relocated.

The next few months, two to three other block buildings in the market will be built.
