President Jokowi Arrives Back in Jakarta

Jakarta, (Antara Sumbar) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and First Lady Iriana returned to Jakarta on Monday after celebrating New Year's Eve with the people of Yogyakarta.

The presidential aircraft Indonesia-1 landed at the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in East Jakarta at 2:15 p.m. local time.

During his stay in Yogyakarta, President Jokowi visited Malioboro Street twice. He took a walk along Malioboro and greeted passersby.

On New Year's Eve, President Jokowi welcomed the public to visit the Yogyakarta Presidential Palace or Gedung Agung and offered them free local food served by the street food vendors at the Palace's yard. (*)
