Padang Aro (ANTARA) - The government of Solok Selatan Regency, W Sumatra still opened tourist destinations in a pandemic situation during the  Christmas and New Year holidays by limiting the number of visitors.

"During the Christmas and New Year holidays, tourist destinations will open and each tourist destination is limited to only accepting 150 people per visit by implementing strict health protocols," said Head of the Solok  Selatan Culture and Tourism Office Harry Trisna in Padang Aro, Monday.

He said that for the Christmas and New Year holidays there are several tourist destinations in Solok  Selatan that are interesting to visit, such as Goa Batu Kapal, Camintoran, Hot water boom and the Saribu Rumah Gadang area.

For the Saribu Rumah Gadang area, he said, the revitalization process is almost complete and is equipped with a viewing tower.

Currently, the work process is 95 percent and partners are testing the lights on the viewing tower.

"After completing the revitalization of the area of Saribu Rumah Gadang, it will become a leading tourist destination in Solok Selatan, especially with a viewing tower," he said.

Meanwhile, Hot Water Boom is equipped with selfie locations so it becomes interesting to visit.

As for the bathing pool, he said, only two were opened, while the big one was temporarily not used for children's safety.

"We have prepared tourist destinations to welcome the Christmas and New Year holidays," he said.
