Batusangkar (ANTARA) - The Government of Tanah Datar District ,W Sumatra is preparing to welcome tourist arrivals in all tourist destinations in the area in the new normal order that was undertaken during and after the COVID-19 pandemic in accordance with health protocols.
"To prepare for the new normal we have to prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to tourism activities and destination and tourist management," said Tanah Datar Deputy Regent Zuldafri Darma in Batusangkar Sunday.
He said to enforce the new normal there are some things that have to be followed up on and be considered such as tourist attractions, schools, markets, places of worship and restaurants and several other crowded places.

In the location of the crowd must be prepared carefully planning, starting from the facilities, officers and tourist object supervision must be in accordance with the standard health protocol COVID-19.
"For example, like Istano Basa Pagaruyung, visitors must follow health protocol procedures such as washing hands, wearing masks, checking body temperature, and for foreign tourists it is expected that the travel agency must be assured of their health," he said.
He hopes to finalize preparations for the new normal, local COVID-19 task force team to proactively conduct education and socialization to the community.

While Head of the Tanah Datar Youth and Sports Tourism Office Abdul Hakim said that he was currently preparing the concept of a health protocol to welcome tourists in several tourist attractions.
For attractions that will be opened must provide a place to wash hands, keep a distance, and must wear a mask for officers and visitors.
While the spokesperson for the Tanah Datar’s task force for the acceleration of COVID-19 handling, Roza Mardiah said there were no positive cases in the area and seven patients had recovered from 11 positive cases. While three other people were treated in a referral hospital and one person died. *
