Padang (ANTARA) - PT Pertamina Marketing Operation Region (MOR) I will crack down on naughty LPG gas bases that sell subsidized 3 Kg of gas above the Highest Retail Price (HET) that has been set in W Sumatra.

Pertamina Communication & Relations Officer MOR I, Haris Yanuanza, in Padang on Friday said that if proven violating, the base would be given sanctions ranging from administrative sanctions to the toughest sanctions that is Termination of Business Relations (PHU).

He said the last point of LPG distribution is the base and he will continue to conduct surveillance from the agent to the base.

"We recommend that the poor buy subsidized gas to existing bases," he said.

He said sanctions would be given to bases according to the level of mistake or violation that is done.

"Pertamina is not familiar with the term retailer because the final distribution is a base. Then from the base directly to the public at a price of Rp. 17 thousand per 3 kilogram contents according to the HET set, "he said.
He said the sudden inspection carried out to one of the bases in the city of Padang as a form of follow-up on the issue of 3 Kg LPG gas scarcity.

He stressed the availability of LPG in W Sumatra was sufficient and in accordance with the needs of the community. According to him the issue was deliberately exaggerated by the speculators so that the public panicked and bought up all 3 kg of LPG gas.

He said the cause of the issue of scarcity arose because one of the LPG Bulk Loading and Filling Stations (SPPBE) in the City of Padang several days ago made a retester so that LPG refueling was several hours late.

He appealed to the public not to panic and only bought LPG at the official base and for those who found a base that raised prices from the established HET, could report it to Pertamina or the authorities.
