Deputy Regent of Tanah Datar, W Sumatra, Zuldafri Darma explained the potential and investment opportunities in the four attractive tourist destinations in the area at the "Riau Investment Forum" in Pekanbaru, Riau, on Tuesday.
"Istano Basa Pagaruyung, the Most Beautiful Village of Nagari Tuo Pariangan, Puncak Pato and Aua Sarumpun are superior Tanah Datar that we offer to investors because they have interesting potential and opportunities to develop," he said in Batusangkar on Wednesday.
He said overall Tanah Datar has approximately 150 tourist destinations that need improvement and development to become a major tourist destination not only in W Sumatra but also nationally.
Tanah Datar is also a cultural center of Minangkabau which has many historical and cultural relics that are still found today.
One of the attractions that need development is Istano Basa Pagaruyung, it can built a cable car in there , a children's playground, the construction of an animal park and a fruit garden.
Istano Basa Pagaruyung is also an icon of W Sumatra tourism which is very popular with both local and foreign tourists.
Likewise with Nagari Tuo Pariangan, which holds the status of the most beautiful village in the world, according to the Buget Travel version, Aua Sarumpun and Puncak Pato have the advantage of beautiful scenery and cool weather.
He hopes that these advantages can be considered by investors to invest their businesses in Tanah Datar.
"We invite investors to invest in Tanah Datar, the local government is very open to this and we offer security certainty and legal certainty, ease in licensing and facilitation of land issues," he said.
