Pariaman (ANTARA) - The City Government of Pariaman, W Sumatra, has confirmed that the floating dock in Angso Duo Island damaged by waves hit on Saturday, August 4, can function again in the next month.

"We have ordered the equipment to go to Bandung and in one month the jetty can be re-functioned," Mayor Pariaman, Genius Umar said in Pariaman on Monday.

He said the damage to the jetty was that the anchor jetty connecting with the static jetty was broken so that it could not currently be used by  tourists.

"Whereas the components are only produced in Bandung, so we ordered there," he said.

Because the floating dock is damaged, the tourists back to normal is on the beach of Angso Duo Island.

He explained the floating dock was aids from the central government but for the repairs must be done by the local government using the local budget.

It is aware that the floating dock can facilitate the board and disembark of tourists to the ship when visiting the island of Angso Duo, but to fix it requires a long time.

Meanwhile, one of the tourists Eko Putra (31) hopes the floating dock can be repaired immediately because it helps visitors to the island of Angso Duo.

"Now, if you go to the island, you must be wet when you board and disembark ship," he said.

He said that at this time it was not comfortable visiting Angso Duo island because the jetty still can not function.
