Batusangkar, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The Government of Tanah Datar District, West Sumatra encourages local people, especially those located in tourism areas, to have awareness of tourism, Head of Local Tourism Youth and Sports Office, Edi Susanto stated.
He said it encouraged the community and tourism managers in the area of tourism villages such as Nagari Pariangan to improve services to visitors who come.
"In addition to improve services, people and tourism managers must maintain cleanliness for the comfort of guests," he said.
He mentioned other things that should be improved for a tourism village is the completeness of public facilities such as toilets and mushala.
Besides, it is also preparing the law if there are charges, such as parking and entrance fees destinations.
According to him, it will be accompanied by efforts to raise the economy of community to feel the direct impact of tourism industry.
When people already feel the positive impact of tourism, then they will automatically have awareness of tourism, but it will also be accompanied by socialization from government about it.
He added that in the development of tourism sector, it is not only about tourist destinations, but also creative industries that can improve the welfare of community. (cha)
