Simancuang still has a natural area and since 2017 began to develop an organic rice area of ​​20 hectares.
Simancuang is also the first region in West Sumatra in the management of nagari (traditional village) forests that are now pilot for other areas.
"The government supports the development of organic rice in Simancuang including other commodities," he said.
South Solok now has 40 hectares of organic rice land in Kalu and Simancuang respectively 20 hectares with harvest every hectare reaches 4.8 tons.
