Padang, (Antara Sumbar) - The budget for 2018 National Press Day (HPN) in West Sumatra may increase by Rp9 billion to Rp25 billion.

"The budget has been proposed and awaiting discussion with the West Sumatran DPRD," Head of Public Relations Bureau of West Sumatra Provincial Secretariat Jasman stated in Padang on Thursday.

He mentioned it related to the preparation of HPN implementation in the province in February 2018.

The budget is used to support all HPN activities to be successful and can provide benefits for the region.

He is optimistic with the budget of HPN implementation in West Sumatra, which carries the theme of tourism, can be done successfully and smoothly.

Moreover, the 2018 budget is believed to be realized at the beginning of January until it is expected that there are no obstacles encountered, especially related to the fund.

Meanwhile, Secretary of West Sumatra Province, Ali Asmar who is also chairman of implementation of HPN in West Sumatra said the preparation of the activities continued to be matured in order to run as planned.

"All is going well. There are no significant obstacles, hopefully it will be successful," he added. (cha)
