Padang Panjang (ANTARA) - Student at Padang Panjang Junior High School 5, West Sumatra, Sandi Rahmat Alzari represented the local province to the national level in the National Student Olympiad (OSN)with the subject of Social Sciences (IPS).

The Head of Education, Youth and Sport Office in Padang Panjang, on Tuesday, said Previously, a similar achievement had also been achieved by junior high school students in Padang Panjang but had not achieved the best results at the national level.

"On this occasion, hopefully the results achieved by Sandi Rahmat are better than the results achieved by the previous students," he said.

He explained that Sandi is currently in the preparatory stage for the race at the national level by attending a training center in Padang.

In the training, he was accompanied by a companion teacher and a staff member from the Padang Panjang Education, Youth and Sport Office who would help him prepare.

Before this, Sandi has won two consecutive OSN competitions in Padang Panjang, namely in 2018 and 2019 so that being chosen to represent the area participated in the competition at the provincial level.

According to his teacher, he was a quiet student and in his family ,his parents emphasized discipline and obedience to carrying out religious orders as the key to achievement.

"In that school he applied with the form by diligently asking the teacher about subject matter that was not well understood," he said.
