Parit Malintang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - About 2,000 tourists visit Bukit Siriah Mountain View tourist attraction in Sungai Geringging Sub-district, Padang Pariaman District, West Sumatra during Eid holiday, Deputy Chairman of Awareness Tourism Group of Bukit Siriah, Asril stated here on Thursday.
According to him, the high number of tourist visits occurs due to the natural beauty that can be seen from the destination.
He predicted that if the road to the top of the hill has been finished to be paved by local government, then the number of tourist visits will increase.
Moreover, the existance of hammock assistance from local government which can be installed at the top of the hill will add the attractiveness of the tourist attraction.
Besides, he said that the number of visits would boost economy of local people who use the natural beauty to trade including people's income which now reaches Rp3 million per day.
In addition to increase merchant revenue, the funds collected from motor vehicle is expected to reach Rp700 thousand per day.
In fact, the parking lot of the vehicle is still voluntary or there is no benchmark price to tourists. (cha)
