South Pesisir Offers Culinary, Education Tourism

Padang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The Community of Koto Panai Air Haji, Linggo Sari Baganti Sub-District, South Pesisir District, West Sumatra offers culinary tours of various types of fish and education around freshwater fish cultivation that can be enjoyed by visitors in one location.

"The concept is deliberately offered to provide tourists with a choice of vacation in addition to maritime attractions that become the mainstay of South Pesisir," Chairman of Ar-Razzaaq Biofloc Farm Cultivation, Wedi Radian Dasril stated in Painan, Friday.

Nevertheless, he said culinary and education tourism around freshwater fish cultivation will be launched in mid-Ramadhan (fasting month) 1439 Hijriah because it is still in the preparation stage.

Various menu will be served ranging from grilled fish, fried and cuisine.

After enjoying the meal, tourists can dig information about freshwater fish culture with biofloc system.

"The location of freshwater fish cultivation is exactly adjacent to the restaurant so it allows tourists to visit it directly," he remarked.

However, he said that tourists do not need to feel amused because ponds with biofloc system does not cause fishy smell and other odor.

While for tourists who include children, it also set up a swimming pool complete with a slide.

In addition, Ar-Razzaaq cafe is also equipped with musala as well as there is a special FIF room for tourists who want to feel the sensation of dining in different locations.

Even it also prepares a special garden of vegetables and can be picked by tourists if interested in making dishes directly without the intervention of the chefs, he added. (cha)
